The Creative Hub is a melting pot of creativity, shared ideas, inspiration and relaxation. Weekly workshops take place and included in the area is a farm shop, with gifts, home produce and a lot of exciting, original items for sale. While there is lots to view, such as a cycle park and a fynbos nursery, we are also very popular for our delicious sourdough toasties and homemade pies.
Rietdakkie started when Oupa Philip parked an old wagon parked along the roadside with his fresh farm produce. Today we stock a variety of products provided by family, friends and farm workers. Our vision is to sell unique products, produced from the heart, not found in commercial shops. Be sure to try our famous dried fruit - mostly produced and packed on the farm. This challenging route is mainly on gravel road, with arduous climbs along loose shale and rock. Hectic downhill hairpins mean you need to keep your wits about you, but wonderful views and a spectacular waterfall are sure to keep you coming back for more.
Hillbilly Farmstall boasts a little bit of everything. From our unique home-grown, home-made chilli sauces, to nguni skins and a klomp udder things – T-shirts, caps and mugs, gifts and crafts, snacks and convenience goods, and some lekker outdoor items like varkpanne, poncho's, cancoolers etc. There is cheese, salami, pickles (and ice cold beer) in the fridges, as well as braaivleis and ice in the freezer. Our pizzas and burgers are droolicious! The views are fantastic! And there is a fun spot for the kids, under the shady karee trees. We are open Thursdays to Mondays, from 10am – 5pm, (and a little later on Friday nights).

A number of birds watching days are held each year, which to date have yielded more than 150 different species, as a result of the varied landscape. A number of new species, not previously seen on the farm, are also now putting in an appearance, such as Hadeda, Marshall Eagle and the Fish Eagle. Bergsig offers the public a bird watching route, that has been designed with bird hides, to get the enthusiast really close to the action.
Come & visit the historic 1901 Anglo-Boer War stone blockhouse of Wolseley. Having survived 115 years due to being on private property, it is a wonderful piece of history to come and experience. The Blockhouse is next to the R43 in Wolseley, has a stable set of stairs for entry and is accessible for tours.

Bergsig Estate is situated in the Breede River Valley in South Africa, about 110 km from Cape Town. Bosjes Kombuis - Kombuis, the Afrikaans word for “kitchen”, reflects the history and culinary traditions of the farm. A seasonal menu awaits the visitor. The modern design of high ceilings, glass walls and a deck for al fresco dining takes full advantage of the surrounding vistas. Bosjes Spens - the Afrikaans for “pantry”, is situated in a planted forest and indigenous gardens, burrowed under a planted roof with a sprawling lawn in front offering lots of play areas for the little ones. A casual menu at Bosjes Spens with hearty breakfast, salads, and light meals for lunch, as well as wholesome country-style pies and other delicious grab-to-go options.
Bergsig Bistro offers fresh, rustic and honest food, all made in-house. Here, all patrons are treated like extended family and we therefore invite you to sit back, relax and enjoy our homemade food and handcrafted wines. Alternatively request a Balcony room setting & engage in sweeping views of vineyards and mountains with a cozy fireplace during winter. All seven cottages are self catering with a fully equipped kitchen to meet your needs during your stay. All bedding and towels are provided for our guests. Six of the cottages have two bedrooms, one double bed in the first room and two single beds in the other room. The seventh cottage has one bedroom and two single beds in the living area, normally used for children.
Winterberg Mountain Inn, situated halfway between Ceres, Wolseley and Tulbagh at the start of Michell’s Pass, offers 9 rooms with beds for 24 sharing guests. Klondyke is a working fruit farm on the outskirts of the Ceres valley, with three self-catering cottages, a campsite and cherry-picking during season. All three cottages are fully equipped for self-catering, but no TV available. We supply bedding, towels, crockery, kitchen equipment and utensils. There is a stove and fridge, microwave, kettle, and toaster in the kitchen. All rooms have heaters and electric blankets on the beds. Each cottage has an inside fireplace and outside braai.

Die Kelderhuis is a newly renovated three-bedroom farmhouse on Bergsig Wine Estate that sleeps six guests in total, overlooking the Bergsig vineyards and beautiful Bainskloof mountains. It is the ideal farm stay for families and friendly couples! The house is only a couple of meters away from the tasting room and Bistro, where meals can be enjoyed at an additional cost.
