There is something undeniably magical about the golden hour in the valley, especially when it unfolds against the backdrop of a setting sun. As Wolseley Tourism, we had the absolute pleasure of attending the monthly Food and Wine Evening hosted at Harvest Table Bistro (nestled at the Winterberg Mountain Inn), and it was a night to remember.

Seated right by the pool under a canopy of twinkling carnival lighting and surrounded by beautiful natural decor, guests gathered for an unforgettable culinary journey. On the menu for the evening? An authentic spread of Greek mezedes paired with the exceptional creations of Tulbagh Wine

The food was quite simply out of this world—so good that even true Greeks would be proud, though thankfully no plates were broken in the excitement! From savory bites to the sweet finishing touch of Melopita (Greek Honey Cake) as seen on the evening's menu, every single dish was a triumph.
Guiding us through the wine pairings was Liesel Kok from Tulbagh Winery, whose passionate and deeply interesting wine-tasting presentation brought every bottle to life. Introducing the wines with wonderful stories, vivid metaphors, and even inventing a brand-new personality style mapped directly to the wine-names, she had the entire table captivated. It was an evening defined by joyous laughter, incredible wine, phenomenal food, and the warmth of wonderful company.
