Sixteen years ago, a dream took flight in the rugged, picturesque landscapes of the Witzenberg region. Founded in November 2010 by Angelique Le Roux—co-owner and manager of Ceres Zipline Adventures, located in the Schurweberg Mountains below the Koekedouw Dam in Ceres, Western Cape, South Africa, it holds the proud title of being the very first zipline tour to operate in the Western Cape.
What started as a passion for sharing unforgettable outdoor experiences has grown into a premier eco-adventure destination nestled right in the heart of the mountains.
Over the past decade and a half, this iconic local landmark has transformed into a beacon of excitement for thrill-seekers, families, and nature lovers alike and has affectionately become known as the 'the best 'foefieslide' in Africa!
Wolseley Tourism had the absolute privilege of soaring across the mountains with Ceres Zipline Tours earlier this year, and what a thrill it was. The guides were excellent and friendly, and the safety procedures were nothing short of world class. Spanning a breathtaking 1.4km of pure adrenaline, the legendary course consists of 8 thrilling slides varying from 100m to 290m in length. From soaring high above the dramatic rock formations and river gorges to taking in sweeping valley vistas, thousands of visitors have strapped in, taken a leap of faith, and created memories designed to last a lifetime. What makes this company truly special is the community that has built up around it.
